A little you may already know and a little may not!
My name is Lynn Tidwell and I am overwhelmed with excitement for the upcoming school year! I was borned and raised in Northern New Jersey, about twenty miles west of New York City with my mom, dad and two older brothers. I attended Salisbury State University (now known as Salisbury Univsersity) on the eastern shore of Maryland and Temple University in Philadelphia.I graduated Magna Cum Laude with degrees in Early Childhood, Elementary and Special Education. I was also an active member in Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society, and have a Master's Degree in Literacy and Culturally Relevant Teaching from the University of Colorado - Denver.
I have been teaching for ten years. Nine of those years I have spent as a 4th grade teacher at Aspen Crossing and with Cherry Creek. Prior to moving to Colorado and after leaving Philadelphia, I taught fifth grade for one year at Garfield Elementary School in the Pasadena Independent School District in Houston, Texas.
Colorado has been home now for nine years. I have been married to my husband, Troy, for five years and our English Bulldog, Tucker, is our only child, as of right now. Other than him, I enjoy running, football (E A G L E S - Eagles!), reading and spending as much time as possible traveling and exploring the mountains with my husband.
